Biography
Olga Fernandez is a certified advanced practice registered nurse and a board-certified adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner with more than 10 years of professional experience in the medical field. She has expertise in patient assessment and care, and patient and family education. Olga joined Tampa General Hospital Gastro Group of the Palm Beaches as an advanced practice registered nurse in 2021. Her numerous duties include assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute/chronic GI issues under a doctor’s supervision and medication management.
Olga previously was a registered nurse on the medical-surgical floor at JFK Medical Center’s North Campus and a charge nurse volunteer at Mission Clinic in West Palm Beach. She also has nine years of experience as a lead ophthalmic technician/surgical coordinator in a private ophthalmological practice setting.
Olga graduated from the Master of Science in Nursing-Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program at Florida International University, where she also received her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Florida Nurses Foundation (FNF). Outside of work, Olga is a committed friend, mother, and daughter. She enjoys traveling, reading, playing tennis, dancing, and exploring. Olga Fernandez speaks English and Russian.
